Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Teksii website and your requests for services through the website or related communications. By using the website, contacting Teksii, or submitting a service request, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Teksii
Teksii provides technology support and related services for supported devices and service requests. Services may include remote support, in-home support, diagnostics, pickup and drop-off service, setup assistance, troubleshooting, software-related support, Wi-Fi and basic network help, printer setup and troubleshooting, and similar services.
Service availability may vary based on location, scheduling, scope, device type, and business capacity.
2. Supported Services and Devices
Teksii primarily focuses on supported Windows desktops and laptops, printer setup and troubleshooting, Wi-Fi and basic network help, software and setup support, virus or pop-up concerns, and personal computer guidance for home users.
Unless separately agreed in writing, Teksii does not currently provide support for Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, phones, tablets, motherboard soldering or board-level repair, or enterprise / managed service provider (MSP) services.
Teksii may decline, limit, refer out, or postpone requests that are unsupported, unsafe, outside the service area, beyond current capacity, or otherwise not a fit for the business.
3. Service Requests
Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance of the job or immediate availability. Teksii may review the request, contact you for more information, and determine the next step based on the issue, the device, scheduling, service area, and available support options.
Teksii may follow up by phone, text, email, or other reasonable means.
4. Free Diagnostics
Teksii may offer free diagnostics or initial evaluation for certain service requests. Free diagnostics means there is no charge for the initial review or evaluation before the next step is identified and approved.
Diagnostics are based on the information available at the time and may not reveal all underlying issues immediately. In some cases, additional troubleshooting, testing, labor, parts, follow-up work, or referral may be needed after the initial evaluation.
5. Approval Before Paid Work
Teksii will not begin paid work until the next step is explained and approved by the customer.
If additional work, time, parts, or services are recommended after initial review or during the job, Teksii may pause and request updated approval before continuing.
6. Pricing, Estimates, and Charges
Pricing may be provided as an estimate, quote, hourly rate, flat fee, service minimum, or other pricing format depending on the request.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- estimates are not guarantees
- actual time, complexity, or cost may change based on the condition of the device, the issue, or newly discovered problems
- additional approval may be required before continued paid work
Once paid work is approved and performed, labor charges may apply even if the issue is only partially resolved or not fully resolved, provided the approved work was actually performed in good faith.
7. Payment Terms
Payment may be collected through invoicing, online payment, card payment, or other approved payment methods. Teksii may use third-party billing, bookkeeping, payment, or invoicing providers.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon invoicing. Teksii may require payment before returning a device, releasing completed work, or providing certain deliverables.
8. Scheduling, Delays, and Availability
Service times, appointment windows, and turnaround estimates are approximate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Teksii may reschedule, delay, or decline service due to availability, complexity, parts delays, safety concerns, weather, customer communication delays, incomplete information, or other operational reasons.
9. In-Home, Remote, and Pickup / Drop-Off Service
Teksii may provide service remotely, in-home, by pickup and drop-off, or by other service arrangements depending on the issue.
By requesting remote service, you authorize Teksii to access the device or system remotely as needed to review, diagnose, troubleshoot, or provide support.
By requesting pickup and drop-off or device handling service, you authorize Teksii to take possession of the device as reasonably necessary to perform the agreed work.
By requesting in-home service, you agree to provide a reasonably safe and suitable environment for service. Teksii may refuse, postpone, or stop service if the environment appears unsafe, inaccessible, or otherwise unsuitable.
10. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to provide reasonably accurate information about the issue, device, and service request. You are responsible for providing necessary approvals, access, passwords, account permissions, and other information reasonably needed for service.
You are solely responsible for backing up all important data before service. Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, Teksii does not provide backup, recovery, or data preservation services as part of standard support and is not responsible for any loss of data, files, accounts, settings, or access.
11. Data Loss, Device Risks, and No Guaranteed Outcome
Technology troubleshooting, repairs, software changes, updates, account work, malware cleanup, remote access, and related services may involve risk, including data loss, account lockout, instability, hardware failure, compatibility problems, or incomplete resolution.
Teksii does not guarantee that every issue can be diagnosed, fixed, prevented, or fully resolved. Some issues may be caused or affected by third-party software, manufacturers, internet service providers, account providers, hardware conditions, prior repair attempts, age of equipment, or other factors outside Teksii’s control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teksii is not responsible for loss of data, loss of access, loss of use, or consequential damages arising from service-related risks, except as otherwise required by law.
12. Third-Party Tools, Providers, and Referrals
Teksii may use third-party tools, software, platforms, communication providers, payment providers, contractors, subcontractors, overflow support providers, referral partners, or other service partners to help operate the business or fulfill services.
Teksii may also refer customers to third-party providers when a request is outside current scope or better handled elsewhere. Teksii is not responsible for the services, conduct, pricing, availability, or outcomes of independent third-party providers unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
13. Contractors and Authorized Service Partners
Teksii may use contractors, subcontractors, or service partners to perform or assist with services. These Terms apply whether services are performed directly by Teksii or by an authorized person or provider acting on Teksii’s behalf.
14. Refunds
Refunds are not guaranteed. Labor already performed is generally nonrefundable, but Teksii may issue refunds, credits, or adjustments in its discretion or where required by law.
15. Unclaimed or Abandoned Devices
If Teksii has possession of a customer device and the customer fails to respond, pay outstanding charges, approve next steps, or arrange return of the device within a reasonable time after notice, Teksii may send additional notice and may charge reasonable storage or handling fees where permitted.
If the device remains unclaimed after repeated notice, Teksii may pursue any rights or remedies available under applicable law, including additional charges, collection efforts, disposal, transfer, or other lawful handling of unclaimed property. Nothing in these Terms creates a greater right than allowed by applicable law.
16. Website Content and Use
The website and its content are provided for general informational and service-request purposes. Teksii may update, change, suspend, or remove website content, offerings, forms, or features at any time without notice.
You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, submit false or misleading requests, attempt unauthorized access, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
17. Separate Agreements and Job-Specific Terms
Certain jobs may require separate written approvals, quotes, invoices, intake forms, service authorizations, e-signatures, or other agreements. If a specific written agreement for a job conflicts with these Terms, the specific written agreement will control for that job to the extent of the conflict.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teksii’s liability for claims arising out of the website, service requests, or services is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer to Teksii for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Teksii will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
20. No Warranty
Except as expressly stated in writing, Teksii provides the website and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
21. Changes to These Terms
Teksii may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
